CAMBRIDGE, MA \u2013 July 6, 2016 \u2013 Montague Bikes, the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched the all-new Paratrooper Elite<\/a>, a high performance mountain bike designed to handle the toughest trails and fold easily for storage in a vehicle. Its superior componentry, full-size wheels and folding design offer the perfect solution for those looking for a versatile bike to take with them as they hit the open road.<\/p>\n

Originally conceived for use by military paratroopers dropping into combat, the Paratrooper Elite represents the ultimate in rugged portability. The bike is well-equipped with a 30-speed Shimano XT drivetrain, XT hydraulic disc brakes, and Rockshox Reba suspension to provide exceptional trail performance. Its 27.5″ Mavic wheels and wide 2.1″ Maxxis tires allow the Paratrooper Elite to roll over obstacles and rough trails with ease and still fold into a vehicle\u2019s trunk when the ride is over.<\/p>\n

Auto enthusiasts look for the best features in design and equipment for their vehicles and should expect nothing less from the accessories they put into them. The Paratrooper Elite combines smart design with peak performance and handling to make it a perfect complement to high-end autos.<\/p>\n

When folded, the bike compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, ideal for car trunks and tight storage spaces. It also weighs only 27 lbs, making it very light and portable. The bike’s industry standard components make repairs and customizations possible at any bike shop.<\/p>\n

Like all Montague bikes, the Paratrooper Elite includes the patented DirectConnect\u2122 folding system that provides increased frame stiffness for superior ride quality, and can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. The Paratrooper Elite retails for $2,449.00.<\/p>\n
