CAMBRIDGE, MA \u2013 June 30, 2016 \u2013 Montague Bikes, the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched the all-new Paratrooper Highline, a high performance mountain bike designed to handle the roughest trails and still fold easily for storage in a vehicle. Its full-size wheels and folding design offer the perfect solution to those looking for a versatile bike to take with them as they tackle the challenge of off-road driving then continue the fun with biking on backwoods trails.<\/p>\n

Originally designed for use by military paratroopers dropping into combat, the Paratrooper Highline represents the ultimate in rugged portability. The bike is well-equipped with a 20-speed Shimano drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and Rockshox suspension to provide superior trail performance. Its 27.5 inch wheels and wide 2.1″ tires allow the Paratrooper Highline to easily roll over obstacles and rough terrain and still fold into the cargo area of an off-road vehicle when the ride is done.<\/p>\n

Heavily modified off-road vehicles are often very limited on storage space. A bike that fits in a tight space and delivers a stiff and responsive ride on the trail is very appealing to off-roaders who enjoy their time in the great outdoors.<\/p>\n

When folded, the bike compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, ideal for the back of a jeep, SUV or even a car trunk. It also weighs only 29 lbs, making it very light and portable. The bike’s industry standard components make repairs and customizations possible at any bike shop.<\/p>\n

Like all Montague bikes, the Paratrooper Highline includes the patented DirectConnect\u2122 folding system that provides increased frame stiffness for superior ride quality, and can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. The Paratrooper Highline retails for $1,249.00.<\/p>\n
