SKS Raceblade fenders should work on that bike. They make a few different widths of that fender, so take a look at the tire width the fenders are meant for before purchasing.

We no longer have the fenders shown in the post available, as we stopped using them on our bikes back in 2015. The other options suggested, like the Planet Bike SpeedEz and the SKS Raceblades, are viable options because they can be easily removed. You need a front fender that can be removed and put back on when folding, and those both use a design that simply straps onto the fork or frame, and can come off without any tools.

I can not locate the front fenders and need to replace them with new clip ons. Your web site says that the Planet Bike Speed EZ fenders come with a dedicated clip. I was snot able to see this on the Planet Bike Speed web site. Also the SKS appeared to have more lateral supports. Is it also “clip on”? Each bike still has the front bracket but the fenders, screws, and hardware are missing. What do you recommend as the simplest and best front fenders for the Navigator?
Thanks

There are a handful of aftermarket fenders that would work, but you really want a design on the front that is easy to remove for folding. The SKS Raceblade Pro XL seems to be a popular choice for our pavement bikes. They offer nearly full coverage and simply “clip on” to the seatstays and fork for easy removal: https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1081926729645793315

I got Boston single speed. In rain my bum is always soggy! Is there any mudguards for this, I tried in shops but none, or alternative please

Hi Rod,
While there are probably quite a few fenders that could be installed, you will need a design where the front fender can be easily removed for folding. A standard full-coverage fender that was bolted on would stick out from the side of the folded bike. I usually recommend the SKS Raceblade fenders which offer excellent protection and come off quite easily:

We’ve never used an adjustable stem on the Boston. Where did you see on our website that it is adjustable? If you wanted to add one, you could certainly use a standard angle adjust stem or even add the Octagon system.

I’ve just bought a new Boston bike and am keen to complete the assembly asap, however there are two assembly related matters for which I need your advice:-
1. Do you supply suitable fenders, or can you recommend an appropriate supplier? I’ve read the previous discussions on this issue but it seems they relate to different models.
2. Your website at https://www.montaguebikes.com/product/boston/ states the Boston has an adjustable handlebar stem, being a Kalloy, Alloy Threadless, with 7 Degree Rise. After unpacking my new bike (bought from Amazon) I was dismayed to find it had no adjustable stem. What date did you first introduce the adjustable stem version of the Boston?
Thanks.

The SKS Raceblade Pro XL works quite well as a full coverage fender where the front is easily removable for folding.

Thanks.
